Who we are

We are a Christian community who try to live according to principles first taught by George Fox in the 17th century. Friends have been meeting in this area since 1651 at the latest and on this site since the 1660s.

Wooldale is a small village near Holmfirth in the Holme Valley in West Yorkshire, the setting for the long running BBC television series "Last of the Summer Wine".

Our meeting forms part of the Pontefract Monthly Meeting which also includes Ackworth, Barnsley, High Flatts, Wakefield as well as Pontefract.
