What we do
The tenets mentioned in what we think propel Quakers towards action in conflict avoidance, sustainable development, education and so forth.
Here are just three examples, two regional and one further from home.
An example of conflict avoidance locally is work for refugees and asylum seekers supported by the Northern Friends Peace Board. Information and updates for those engaged in that work are in The Safe Haven blog started in November.
A good example of trans-national co-operation for sustainable development is the work of the Quaker Bolivia Link.
Finally, we celebrate the work of Ackworth School from within our own monthly meeting.
